SB 939 does not define neurodiversity; however, according to UC Davis, neurodiversity "describes the natural range in how people experience and interact with the world, with no single one way being viewed as the 'right' way. This term is often used to refer to autism, but also includes other neurological and developmental conditions, such as learning disabilities and ADHD. Neurodiversity is seen in the differences in how people think, learn, and behave - and these differences, when supported, are often strengths."
