UPDATE: August 28, 2020
Upper Lake High School is very proud of our students, teachers, support staff and community for working together to reopen with in-person and distance learning. We know that we will continue to be responsive to the needs of our community through this global pandemic. Feedback from all stakeholders as well as guidance from the California Department of Education helps guide our decision making.
After two and a half weeks of in-person and distance learning, our first response to student and teacher input is that Upper Lake High School will make an adjustment to the bell schedule to support teacher collaboration and preparation AND increase time for individual student support.
We will continue to work hard to ensure that:
- every student, every day, is finding a way to feel connected,
- every student, every day, is being challenged by new learnings and experiences,
- every student, every day, knows they have a champion they can turn to.
Upper Lake High School will be on a MINIMUM DAY schedule EVERY WEDNESDAY with built-in online one on one check-in for students. This means class time will be shorter and there will be an increase in teacher availability for one-on-one tutoring/support
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday will be regular bell schedule.
We will continue to listen to your needs and are committed to being flexible so that those needs can be met. Thank you for reaching out; we are listening.
